An early spring day walking the Civil War battlefield. This is crossing Burnside Bridge looking from the Union lines toward the Georgia units gun pits. Walking the battlefield today is calm and peaceful, but when the battle was being fought this was one of the bloodiest parts. Antietam Creek gently flows through the landscape. This is a beautiful part of the field as trees line the creek allowing for a quiet peaceful walk.
