A pied kingfisher takes flight as it begins to search for fish. The birds will sit on a branch and look for small fish in the water. They will also hover in one spot over the water waiting. This one sat on a branch for quite a while then took off. It hovered over the water and then dove into the water. Unfortunately, it did not come out with anything.
