Artist's Description
Taken at Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland.
The cannons stand silent in front of the old church at Antietam. Antietam was one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War. It actually was the bloodiest one day battle of the Civil War. When you walk the grounds today it is silent, but if you listen closely you may be able to hear the roar of a distant cannon. Here stands a symbol of peace in the wake of violent times.

About Pamela Peters
Hello! My name is Pamela Peters. I created Wild Radiance Photography in order to share and further pursue my passion. My mission is to photograph and educate people about the surrounding world. Using photography allows me to share images of the world the way I see it. When you view my work I hope it fills you will the excitement and awe of the images created by nature. I am a former professor and currently pursuing my PhD. When I am not in the classroom I can usually be found exploring the outdoors. As part of my mission to educate, I spend time traveling as a public speaker. My talks are for different age groups and focus on my travels, experiences in the field or how to photograph in nature.
