Description
A cattle egret walks under an African elephant in the desert of Samburu National Reserve in central Kenya. Elephants and egrets have a very special relationship that benefits both animals. Both are found throughout most of Africa and are often found together. These animals are some of the most popular animals found on an African safari. Egrets will walk under or ride the elephants. They will pick the bugs from the animals backs or the insects that are left in their wake.
